Course Description:
Opportunities are plentiful for design intervention in the behavioral health space; and designers are up for the challenge! Participants of this course will take a deep dive into the Institute's Patient-Centered Behavioral Health Project and learn how collaboration between designers and product manufacturers can transform the environment of care.
Learning Objectives:
Identify safety risks inside the behavioral health patient room
Review design considerations when planning behavioral health projects
Discuss design research and development to address the needs of patients
Review a case study: Patient-Centered Behavioral Health Project
